Vorig jaar kwam plots Covid eraan met alle onzekerheden ten gevolge. De eerste vraag die ik me stelde was: ging ik dit jaar wel de kans krijgen om op een werkplek terecht te komen en praktische ervaring op te doen? Hoe zouden mijn collega’s zijn? Wat met de werkinhoud? Zou ik dit graag doen,…en ook kunnen ? Deze maal werd de stage gelukkig niet geannuleerd en tot mijn grote blijdschap heb ik nu de kans gekregen een groot deel praktische ervaring op te doen aan de gemeente van Lennik op de dienst cultuur en toerisme.
The Job on the spot
What is my job like? Is it boring or fun? Do I have all responsibilities I wanted to have? I can assure you, my job is fun, it’s a learning project and I have even more responsibilities than I could have dreamt of.
I create new walking and cycle routes for specific demands of groups. This is very exciting as I have to take into account specific needs for different kind of groups of people. It’s not just the fact that I can plan a route and develop it, no not at all. I have to find unknown places, beautiful spots, and try to match these with the needs of adults, children, families, disabled persons, etc,..
Another one of my tasks is keeping the website up-to-date and I made a total remake off it. This is very time consuming as there were quite some topics to change.
Ik heb ook als taak de wandel- en fietspaden te ontdekken om alle mogelijke rustplekken, picknicktafels, recreatiemogelijkheden enz,… in kaart te brengen.
Een groot deel van mijn werk bestond in de eerste fase in het maken en uitbrengen van een brochure. Dit was voornamelijk de wandelingen uitwerken, historische en nieuwe informatie verzamelen over het erfgoed (gelegen aan de wandeling) en dit in een toeristisch toegankelijke tekst zetten. Na het volledig uitwerken van deze brochures (met barcodes waarop je de historiek kan terugvinden en ingesproken teksten kan weervinden) heb ik de nodige offertes opgevraagd bij de drukker en deze laten valideren.
Part of my task was to make the renewal of the info-brochure of Lennik. For that I checked all relevant information, and adapted it where necessary. With this information and the changes I made, I have the possibility to make a total new concept of their brochure, which will be more fancy. I have the end-to-end responsibility on this project.
Een stage aan de gemeente van Lennik is niet alleen leerrijk maar ook leuk, ik wil dit iedereen aanraden om zich te ontwikkelen in de toekomst.
