<\/figure>\n\n\n\nI have had the chance to learn so many different things while here. During these 16 weeks, I was placed in all the different teams the NZ office has. From Contracting and Reservations, through Operations and Product, to eventually finishing in the Marketing and Sales team. This meant I kept learning throughout the internship, which was a challenge. Luckily, all team members were so friendly, which really made me enjoy coming in every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
M\u00eame si j’ai beaucoup appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 mon temps pass\u00e9 au bureau, le moment fort absolu a \u00e9t\u00e9 lorsque j’ai pu participer moi-m\u00eame \u00e0 un voyage Intrepid d’une semaine en Nouvelle-Z\u00e9lande ! On m’a mise dans un avion en direction du sud pour d\u00e9couvrir la c\u00f4te ouest de l’\u00cele du Sud en une semaine. Et waouh, c’est tellement beau ici ! Cela m’a permis de voir concr\u00e8tement ce que nous essayons de vendre jour apr\u00e8s jour depuis le bureau, et \u00e7a vaut vraiment le coup!<\/p>\n\n\n\n To conclude, what is life actually like when you’re over 18,000 kilometres away from home? Well, first I would like to say that at a certain point, distance doesn’t really matter anymore. Whether you’re 1,000 kilometres away or 18,000, when you’re gone, you’re gone. New Zealand is a Western country, which means their culture is very similar to what we’re used to in Belgium. Of course, there are some differences, but not enough to cause a culture shock. The biggest difficulty is probably the time difference, which makes it even harder to keep in touch with everyone when you’re away from home. The difference between Belgium and New Zealand is either 10, 11, or 12 hours. That means you can never call someone in the middle of your day; you have to wait until the morning or evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Voil\u00e0 pour mon blog ! La Nouvelle-Z\u00e9lande est un pays magnifique, et j’ai h\u00e2te de d\u00e9couvrir le reste du pays une fois mon stage termin\u00e9. Est-ce que je te recommanderais de venir ici ? Absolument ! Seule condition : ne pas avoir le mal du pays. Une fois sur place, tu te retrouves litt\u00e9ralement sur une \u00eele, loin du reste du monde. Mais c’est finalement l’un de ses charmes, non ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you look at a world map in Belgium and go all the way to the other side, you will end up in New Zealand. Do you go any further? Well, then you’re actually on your way back.
