For many people, tourism starts with inspiration: a nice place to visit, a cosy restaurant or an interesting event. During my internship, I am discovering how much work happens behind that inspiration and I got to know a completely different side of tourism. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A variety of tasks \ud83d\udccb<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Je fais mon stage dans le service Marketing et Communication<\/strong>, o\u00f9 j’aide \u00e0 promouvoir la r\u00e9gion de la Lys comme une belle r\u00e9gion pour le tourisme et les loisirs. Mes t\u00e2ches sont tr\u00e8s vari\u00e9es, ce qui rend mon stage plus chouette et int\u00e9ressant. Par exemple, je pr\u00e9pare des posts pour les r\u00e9seaux sociaux<\/strong>: je pr\u00e9pare les images, j’\u00e9cris les l\u00e9gendes et je programme les publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also help maintain the website<\/strong>. I update existing web pages and add new ones when needed. I often collect information about nice places to eat and drink, events, and other interesting spots in the Lys region. I also contact these locations to ask for the correct information and appropriate images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ecrire des textes <\/strong>fait aussi partie de mes t\u00e2ches. Chaque mois, j’aide \u00e0 pr\u00e9parer la newsletter. J’\u00e9cris des textes sur les sujets donn\u00e9s et ensuite, je cherche des photos adapt\u00e9es. J’ai aussi pu \u00e9crire environ quatre pages pour le magazine Papillio. J’ai trouv\u00e9 cela tr\u00e8s sp\u00e9cial et cela m’a donn\u00e9 un grand sens de responsabilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my role, professional <\/strong>and customer-oriented communication<\/strong> is very important, as I am somewhat the face of the organization. Creativity<\/strong> and attention to detail <\/strong>are also important in this position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un stage o\u00f9 je me sens bien \ud83d\ude0a<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Pour moi, ce stage est tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressant parce qu\u2019il y a beaucoup de vari\u00e9t\u00e9<\/strong> \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents niveaux. Comme je l\u2019ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 dit, mes t\u00e2ches changent souvent et je peux travailler sur quelque chose de diff\u00e9rent chaque jour. Nous travaillons aussi deux fois par semaine \u00e0 la maison et une fois par mois au si\u00e8ge principal (Westtoer) \u00e0 Bruges, donc notre environnement change<\/strong> aussi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we have meetings at special locations in the region, I am always invited to join. I am also always welcome at staff parties or outings, which I really appreciate. During this internship, I always feel included<\/strong>. This gives me a comfortable feeling <\/strong>when I am working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce stage ne serait pas aussi agr\u00e9able sans mes fantastiques coll\u00e8gues<\/strong>. Ma tutrice de stage m\u2019a tr\u00e8s bien aid\u00e9 et soutenu pendant toute ma p\u00e9riode de stage. Je pouvais toujours aller vers elle si j\u2019avais des questions, mais aussi vers mes coll\u00e8gues. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 eux, j\u2019ai pass\u00e9 une tr\u00e8s belle p\u00e9riode de stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
