Je suis actuellement en stage chez AAB \u2013 All About Belgium. Comme son nom l\u2019indique, il s\u2019agit d\u2019une agence r\u00e9ceptive (DMC). Il est sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans l\u2019organisation de voyages de groupe au Benelux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J\u2019ai fait mon premier stage dans une agence voyages sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans le tourisme \u00e9metteur, c\u2019est pourquoi ce stage m\u2019a particuli\u00e8rement int\u00e9ress\u00e9. Cela m\u2019a permis de d\u00e9couvrir une autre facette du secteur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019entreprise, AAB, est une petite PMEqui ne compte que 4 employ\u00e9s. Le printemps \u00e9tant une p\u00e9riode charg\u00e9e, ils \u00e9taient ravis d\u2019accueillir un stagiaire et avaient bien besoin d\u2019aide. Cela signifiait aussi qu\u2019il n\u2019y avait pas de fonctions sp\u00e9cifiques au sein de l\u2019entreprise et que, en tant que stagiaire, j\u2019ai donc pu effectuer diff\u00e9rents types de t\u00e2ches. Cela m\u2019a permis d\u2019assumer davantage de responsabilit\u00e9s en tant que stagiaire et j\u2019\u00e9tais \u00e9galement plus proche du client que lors de mon stage premier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My tasks are mostly administrative, since almost all communication in the company happens via mail. In the beginning I mainly helped with already open files. There I helped for example with booking extra services or sending mails to suppliers. But now that I am worked in a bit more I am also allowed to start new requests. This means that clients (often other travel agencies) send an email with a new request for a group tour in the Benelux, and I then put together an itinerary based on their wishes, find suitable hotels, request quotes from suppliers, and finally prepare an offer myself to send to the client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A major advantage of this internship for me was the multilingual environment. Since our clients are international, communication with them rarely takes place in Dutch. Most groups come from Germany, Austria, France, Spain and Italy. This gives me the opportunity to improve my English, German and French.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion, this internship has not only given me a better understanding of how an incoming DMC operates, but has also offered me the chance to work more independently, take on more responsibility and further develop my language skills within an international context.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
