The first week at the airport consisted of double
work. This means I had to join someone in their tasks whether it was check-in,
boarding, hosting,… . During this week I learned a lot and I started to look
forward to the weeks to come.

After the successful conclusion of my training, I was allowed to start working independently. I was really stressed during the first day, a bit scared even. After all it is of paramount importance not to make a mistake at the check-in on the subject of passport control. Turkey especially can be tricky. You need a visa for Turkey and many people mess up the process by putting their number of the National Register instead of their ID number on the visa. The first time I was really shy when I had to tell people that their documents weren’t correct or when I had to tell them that they had an excess amount of kilograms in their luggage. But now that I’ve been working here more than a month I’ve started to be more comfortable which shows a big difference in the response I get from these passengers.

Boarding is an easier task than the check-in. All you
have to do is to make sure the right passengers get on the plane and make sure
that everyone gets on the plane. Sometimes I even got the chance to go inside
the plane to check some passengers who sneakily passed the boarding security
check.

In short, work at the airport is amazing. I get to do
different tasks and I’m never bored because I don’t have the time for it. When
I get home I’m often exhausted but more than satisfied with what I have
achieved during the day.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[9

post-594","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-stage
["GET
