Hola, Buenas! I’m Zeynep, student in the third year of Tourism and Leisure Management and I did a 4 month internship with Tui as a hotel rep in Mallorca. In this blog post, I’ll give an insight into how I experienced my internship with Tui Abroad and what I learned from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tui is one of the biggest and leading travel organisation operator of Europe and it stands for Travel, Unique and Inspiring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The best part of this job is when you look at my instagram you would think I am on vacation all season. To be honest little yes and little no. I often hear from friends “what a great job, you are always on vacation”. They don’t realize how patient you have to be when engaging with tourists. Supporting something you actually have no control over and many stressful situations. A small example is that we have 1.5 days off, which is not always \u201coff\u201d because you still have to do something for work. Of course you have many choices when planning your day off such as going on unlimited excursions, exploring the island, meeting new people, cleaning up your apartment or maybe resting? For me, the choice is simple and the result is eternal fatigue?.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ba\u015f\u0131ndan beri ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131z \u00e7al\u0131\u015fabildi\u011fim ve \u00e7ok g\u00fcvenildi\u011fim i\u00e7in \u00e7ok \u015fey \u00f6\u011frendim. San\u0131r\u0131m staj yapmak i\u00e7in kendime daha uygun bir organizasyon se\u00e7emezdim: bazen al\u0131\u015f\u0131lmad\u0131k \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma \u015fekli, ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131zl\u0131k, anlay\u0131\u015f ve positif zihniyet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Staj\u0131m s\u0131ras\u0131nda yeni insanlarla ili\u015fkiler kurdum, t\u00fcm ya\u015fam ortam\u0131m de\u011fi\u015fiyor ama ayn\u0131 zamanda do\u011fum g\u00fcnleri, d\u00fc\u011f\u00fcnler aile ve arkada\u015flar\u0131m\u0131n hayat\u0131ndaki \u00f6nemli olaylar\u0131 ka\u00e7\u0131rd\u0131m. Ama evet, bu g\u00fczel adada staj yapmak, yeni k\u00fclt\u00fcrleri ke\u015ffetmek ve yeni seyler \u00f6grenmek bu i\u015fin getirdi\u011fi rahats\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131 gideriyor. Sonunda buna de\u011fer oldu\u011funu kalbimin derinliklerinden s\u00f6yleyebilirim. bir \u00f6m\u00fcr boyu yan\u0131mda ta\u015f\u0131yaca\u011f\u0131m bir deneyim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My apprenticeship with TUI was a personal investment for my individual development. In summary, I can say that the time in Mallorca was incredibly valuable for me, because in addition to my daily work as a hotel representative, I made inspiring contacts, got to know other cultures, improved my language skills and benefitted from a better quality of life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
