<\/figure>\n\n\n\nTijdens mijn zoektocht naar een stageplaats als tweedejaars studente, voelde ik aan dat ik na een tijdje inspiratieloos aan het worden was. Dit omdat er in de lijst niet echt iets stond dat me enorm aantrok. Eerst wou ik graag naar de Hoge of de Lage Kempen, maar dit kon jammer genoeg niet doorgaan omdat ik daar geen verblijf kon verkrijgen. Daarnaast was werken in een touroperator ook een optie voor mij. Maar omdat ik al in een reisbureau stage heb gelopen, prefereerde ik graag andere ervaringen op te doen. Daardoor heb ik mijn verlangens ergens anders gezet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Na zoeken en zoeken verscheen er een nieuwe stagemogelijkheid in de lijst. \u2018Veepee Northern Europe\u2019. De naam op zich vond ik al heel klasse. Toen ben ik de omschrijving beginnen lezen. Dit omvatte \u2018entertainment en travel sales als online bedrijf\u2019. Zo kreeg ik nog meer interesse om verder te lezen. De functieomschrijving hield in: \u2018 de stagiaire kan stage lopen als travelco\u00f6rdinator\u2019. When I read this, I said “Wow, what a cool name! Then I continued reading to find out what the job description consisted of. It consisted of; Making all the preparations to put a travel sale online, being responsible for the administrative follow-up and handling of reservations, getting in touch with suppliers, solving problems with Customer Care, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Na het lezen van al deze zaken was ik bijna zo goed als zeker dat ik deze stageplek wou verkiezen. Daarnaast vond ik mezelf ook gewoon het ideale kandidaat voor wat het bedrijf als \u2018gewenst profiel\u2019 wou; Nederlandstalig, uitstekende kennis van de Engelse taal en ook de Franse taal. In de Franse taal had ik ietwat twijfels. Frans is altijd al niet zo gemakkelijk geweest voor mij. Maar toch geloofde ik erin dat dit me niet zou mogen tegenhouden. Ook wensten ze structuur en oog voor detail, stressbestendigheid, gepassioneerd, resultaatgericht, teamspirit en dergelijke zaken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I could feel that this opportunity would be my internship. I am not the most structured and stress resistant person on earth, but I wanted to take on this challenge to improve myself on my working points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I can clearly say that I believe that I did this. Because it was not a joke that this company is working with dozens of deadlines. Neither that they are very accurate. I had to learn how to deal with stressful situations. That is the most important thing for me. I chose something to come out of it way better and I believe I did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What I know now and have learned from this, is that desk work is not really something I would like to do permanently in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Nevertheless, I certainly don’t regret being able to go through this experience.
