After an emotional goodbye at the\noffice, I went back to Belgium to finish up my third year. After a few brutal\nmonths, I passed all of my exams and – together with my thesis group – we\nmanaged to deliver our thesis on time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
During these six months in\nBelgium, I was still very much in contact with all my colleagues and friends in\nIreland. They were all missing me and wanted me to come back so I decided, \u201cWhy\nnot do my second internship there as well?\u201d The company promised to give me\nmore responsibilities and after six months, I was on the first Ryanair (*not\nsponsored unfortunately*) flight back to Dublin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was really happy to be back,\nsurrounded by my friends and colleagues and I was enjoying the new responsibilities\ngiven to me as well. For this internship they decided to put me in charge of\nlooking after the \u201cRent File\u201d and making sure that everyone pays on time. As\nwell as looking after some minor maintenance issues and being the point of\nreference for Brazilian agencies and Brazilian clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ook mocht ik de nieuwe stagiaires trainen voor hun functies. Drie maanden ging dit zo voort en waren mijn dagen zeer goed gevuld. Na deze drie maanden, kwam dan het droevige (maar voor mij ook wel goede) nieuws dat de huidige Assistant Manager haar opzeg had gegeven en mij aangeraden had als haar opvolging. De volgende dag kreeg ik de email van HR dat ik mijn motivatiebrief en CV mocht doorsturen en de dag daarna had ik mijn sollicitatiegesprek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
De daaropvolgende week was zenuwslopend en\nplots kreeg ik een belletje dat ze mij de perfecte kandidaat vonden voor de job\nen dat, na mijn stageperiode, mijn contract direct kon beginnen. Ik was zeer vereerd\nen blij met deze kans en heb deze dan ook meteen aangenomen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The day after, my training to\nbecome the next Assistant Manager started. I find these new responsibilities\nand tasks very fascinating and I\u2019m really happy that I can stay in Dublin\nlonger than expected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As from next week, I can\nofficially call myself the new Assistant Branch Manager of EazyCity Dublin and\nI\u2019m truly grateful to the Erasmushogeschool for giving me the opportunity of\ndoing TWO internships here and giving me all the skills needed to succeed in\nthis new challenge. Thereby giving me a big head start career wise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
